Wild prediction I’ve had since day 1: Melina, the Gloam Eyed Queen, is Marika’s twin sister that she killed and absorbed into the Erdtree as a punishment. Also Radagon is the remnant of the fell god. Considering Marika needed a weapon made to “kill a god” it stands to reason she didn’t know how to kill one, and thus she absorbed the only one she’s stated to have gotten rid of personally.

Nice. The greater will promised Marika eternal life and promised Radagon perfection. The greater will couldn't fulfill his promise though, Marika lost faith and realized they were full of crap and shattered the ring. Marika and Radagon represent civilization's attainment of knowledge and adoption of faith. Marika is the spirit/esoteric/star knowledge/faith, and Radagon is the primal/physical knowledge/faith. The greater will is organized religion. Radagon hates his red hair because it reminds him of his primal roots, and he wants perfection/purity. The red is from when gold was mixed with red, the Crucible. Godfrey was mankind first learning to shed their primal ways and become civilized. Godwyn and Ranni were next in line to continue the golden order, chosen by the Greater Will. That's why the black night happened. Here's the kicker, Radagon is a dragon. Wait a sec, what is Malenia marched into Caelod to fight Radahn for the same reason we need to to enter the dlc, ie to set Miquella’s fate free? What if she wakes up and dies by our hand, thinking she succeeded and beat him and that’s why she’s waiting for Miquella to return, when in reality, she failed?
